WE CAN DO
THIS TOGETHER

An EXPEDITION SPECIALIST.

Himalaya. Karakoram. Antarctica. Andes. Alaska. Cascades.

From Crag to Summit. Everything in between.

Being around his high level of stoke for life, his attention to clients, the care he brings to every detail, and seeing just how much he loves guiding made me emotional almost every day I saw him. I remember what that fire was like, that desire to be the best at what you do. It gives me hope that this segment of our industry, will be in his good and capable hands. In a spot of luck that only happens on big mountains, our rope teams got to summit together. It was a special moment for me.

The wheel turns, and standing there I understood, he's who comes next.

Testimonial The Savage Mountain: K2

Benny Lieber is truly one of this generations mountaineering greats. As a guide, he is a highly motivated leader who demonstrated the utmost concern for the well being and success of his clients. He willingly shares his ice climbing skills which he draws from vast experience of first ascents in North America. His decision making skills in the mountains proved impeccable re: weather, routes, safety, and conditions. His optimism and encouragement were uplifting and inspirational. I plan on many more ascents with Benny in the future.

-Kim Silloway. On July 29, 2024 Kim & Benny stood on the summit of K2 together- “The Mountain of Mountains.” The World’s Second Highest Peak (8611m / 28,251ft). Kim became the oldest American to climb K2 (60) and Benny became the 4th & Youngest American to successfully guide the mountain (30).

Today less than 40 Americans have ever been to the top of K2. NASA has sent nearly 10x that many Americans to Space.

In the accompanying photos, Kim is descending past K2’s historic summit serac at 27,000ft (1st) followed by Benny & Kim below K2 on the walk out from basecamp at the conclusion of the Madison Mountaineering K2 Expedition (2nd).
